The Postpartum Doula Certification program prepares you to support families in the weeks and months after birth. Online lessons cover recovery, newborn care, feeding support, and the emotional adjustment families navigate at home. You then complete required fieldwork with families before submitting documentation for certification review.
The first weeks with a newborn ask a great deal of a household. Bodies are healing, sleep is scarce, and routines that worked last month no longer fit. A postpartum doula steps into that stretch with practical help, steady information, and calm company.
Much of the work is quiet. You notice what a family needs before they have words for it, you offer options rather than instructions, and you recognise the moment a question belongs with their healthcare provider instead of you. Training here builds all three habits.

What the role is not
A postpartum doula does not examine, diagnose, or treat anyone. You are not there to replace a midwife, nurse, physician, therapist, or lactation specialist. Knowing where your role ends is part of doing it well, and the coursework returns to that boundary again and again.
