It is designed to build understanding, not to process any enrollment on your behalf.
Short, focused lessons covering administrative topics. You can work through them at your own pace, and live expert support during published hours is available to enrolled students.

People often hear these as one package. They are not, and we would rather be clear about it up front.
This course
A supplemental online course. It builds understanding of the administrative landscape. It is not a certification and it does not register you anywhere.
Training and fieldwork
Our Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula programs pair online lessons with required fieldwork. This course is neither of those, and it includes no fieldwork.
Certification
Full American Doula Academy certification is earned through a certification program, including its required fieldwork and documentation review.
Medicaid participation
Participation is determined by the State of Michigan and the payer, under their current rules. That decision sits entirely outside the Academy.
Online coursework alone does not result in full certification. Full certification requires completing the online learning phase and the required fieldwork. See how certification works
